The L'Hospitalet Fire Department recorded over 3,900 interventions during 2025, covering services in the city, Esplugues, and territorial collaborations, according to the annual report.

The 2025 report carried out by the L'Hospitalet Fire Department reveals that the station is the most active in Catalonia, excluding Barcelona. This overall figure includes services performed in the city, direct interventions in Esplugues, and collaborations in other parts of the territory.

"The volume of population we cover means we have more callouts than in other similar stations like Badalona or Sabadell."

Out of the total, L'Hospitalet concentrated 2,696 interventions. The most frequent types were house fires, with 253 operations, and technical assistance, which totaled 674. The latter includes everything from turning off the main water valve to having to enter the homes of elderly people alerted by telecare services.
Urban rescue interventions stood at 510, a figure that is becoming increasingly common in the city. Among the most relevant and unusual operations of 2025, a gas explosion on Blas Fernández Lirola street stands out, which forced the evacuation of eleven neighboring buildings and a school. The year also closed with fire fatalities, the last one recorded in the Bellvitge neighborhood.
