The Club Natació Sant Andreu was crowned Catalan Clubs Champion for the sixteenth time last weekend at the CN Barcelona pool, narrowly overcoming CN Sabadell by a small margin.

The victory for the Sant Andreu club, coached by Jordi Jou, was extremely close, achieving 669 points against 663 for CN Sabadell, led by José Antonio del Castillo ‘Casti’. CN Terrassa completed the podium with 601 points.
The competition took place in the short course pool of the Nova Escullera at the Club Natació Barcelona, featuring a demanding format that required each club to field one senior and one under-18 representative per event, in both male and female categories.
Despite the absence of Emma Carrasco, who was competing in the World Cup, Sant Andreu demonstrated its superiority with 17 victories in 31 events, particularly dominating the women's category. Highlights include the wins by Ainhoa Campabadal (100m and 200m freestyle) and Carla Carrón (400m freestyle).
The performance of Irene Ciércoles was notable; she finished third in the 100m freestyle, setting the best Spanish mark for 15-year-olds, and first in the 100m backstroke, setting the best Catalan mark for her age. In the men's category, Joaquim Pardo (100m medley) and the 4x100 freestyle relay stood out.
The championship maintained tension until the final relay, taking place in a festive atmosphere complete with music, lights, and a full grandstand. This triumph allows the Sant Andreu club to revalidate its title and consolidate its dominance in Catalan swimming.
