The Sant Andreu district launches the campaign “For Christmas, emblematic shops” on Tuesday, December 9, turning its Gran de Sant Andreu street into an open-air museum to celebrate the memory of local businesses.

This initiative, titled “Commerce that makes history”, invites residents and visitors to rediscover Gran de Sant Andreu street, full of century-old shops and trades that have resisted the passage of time. The guided tour will begin at 6 PM (18:00 hours) starting from Cansaladeria Puig, located at number 147 of the street.
The route will be led by La Llúmena, a peculiar urban archaeologist who supposedly arrives from the year 2079. She will be responsible for sharing stories and anecdotes about emblematic stops such as Matalasseria Lázaro (No. 184), Farmàcia Franquesa (No. 260), and Farmàcia Guinart (No. 306).
For those who prefer to explore at their own pace, the district offers a self-guided route using a mobile application or informational brochures. Participants can identify the “trade gestures” displayed in the shop windows and take part in the interactive game “Guess what they do?”.
This activity seeks not only to encourage shopping but also to highlight local history. The campaign emphasizes that every shutter hides generations of hands that have sliced ham, filled mattresses, or prepared remedies, proving that local commerce tells the community's story firsthand. The game includes a draw for three baskets of neighborhood products.
