A terrace of a building on Sicília Street in Santa Coloma de Gramenet partially collapsed on Sunday, causing no injuries, and prompting the precautionary evacuation of residents.

The incident occurred on Sunday morning, when the Bombers de la Generalitat received the alert at 10:52 AM. Three units were dispatched to the scene and confirmed structural damage that compromised the building's safety, leading to the evacuation of the tenants.
The collapse affected approximately 10 square meters of the roof, which fell to the ground floor of the building. Fortunately, the ground-floor premises were vacant at the time of the incident, thus preventing any personal injuries.
The four tenants of the affected dwelling were able to access their homes on the same Sunday, accompanied by emergency services, to retrieve some essential belongings. Although the municipal government activated emergency services, those affected were accommodated by family members.
As of now, the exact causes of the terrace's slab collapse have not been determined. This event comes just two weeks after another similar collapse in the Singuerlín neighborhood of the same town, where the roof of a bar gave way without causing injuries, as the establishment had not yet opened.
