The C-16 highway, near Olvan, was fully reopened in the Berga direction this Wednesday, following repair work that remains underway after the end of the farmers' five-day blockade.

Traffic flow on the C-16, known as the Eix del Llobregat, has returned to normal in the northbound direction (towards Berga) near Olvan. Nevertheless, repair tasks continue in the opposite direction, towards Manresa and Barcelona, where the left lane remains closed.
Workers from the company Cedinsa, the concessionaire for this stretch, have been working non-stop since Monday afternoon to fully restore the road. The traffic blockade, which affected the highway between northern Gironella and Berga, lasted for five days and four nights, from last Thursday until Monday afternoon.

The mobilizations left visible damage to the asphalt and highway furniture, including areas burned by improvised fires, remains of tires, and graffiti on traffic signs.

The damage includes sections of the asphalt burned by the combustion of tires, plastics, and straw, as well as graffiti on traffic signs and damage to the central barriers and side fences, elements that are currently being repaired.
