The Berga Local Police and Firefighters intervened this Monday on Gran Via to clean up the facade of a building that had suffered detachments.

The detachment of part of the facade of a property on Gran Via street in Berga required the rapid intervention of the Local Police and Firefighters. A Local Police patrol was dispatched to the area to check the risk to pedestrians, despite not having received any prior notice.
The officers activated the emergency services, which proceeded to clean up the affected part of the facade. As a safety measure, the corresponding section of the sidewalk was delimited and sealed off to ensure pedestrian safety.
It is believed that the adverse weather conditions of recent days, including episodes of snow, rain, and wind, may have accelerated the deterioration of the structure and caused the fragments to fall.
The building is privately owned. Sources from the Berga City Council confirmed that the owner has been contacted to carry out the necessary repairs urgently.
