The Volta a Catalunya presented the routes for its men's and women's editions in Viladecans, highlighting three stages in the central region that will feature eleven major climbs between March and June.

The organization of the Volta a Catalunya, presented this Thursday in Viladecans, confirmed that the three stages running through the central region of Catalonia will include a total of eleven mountain difficulties. These stages, two in the men's race and one in the women's race, are considered crucial for the outcome of the respective competitions.
The men's race will take place between March 23 and 29, starting in Sant Feliu de Guíxols and finishing in Montjuïc, Barcelona. Stages 5 and 6 will pass through the central region. The fifth stage, on March 27, will link La Seu d'Urgell and Coll de Pal (between Berguedà and Cerdanya), covering 155.3 kilometers and featuring three first-category climbs: Colldornat, Fumanya, and Sobirana, in addition to the special category climb at the finish.
The following day, March 28, the well-known Berguedana stage will take place, linking Berga and Queralt for the third consecutive year over a 158.2-kilometer route. This stage includes the ascent to Coll de Pradell, 1,720 meters high and special category, as well as the Sant Isidre climb and the finish line at Queralt, both first category.
Regarding the women's Volta, scheduled between June 19 and 21, its central stage will cross central Catalonia from south to north. This day will connect Sant Vicenç de Castellet and La Molina, including the ascent to the Batallola pass and Coll de la Creueta before the final descent towards the ski resort.
