Berga's Mobility Councilor, Guillem Canal, has confirmed a 15% reduction in the number of urban bus passengers during the first half of 2025 compared to the previous year.

According to data released by the Berga City Council, the urban transport service went from 34,140 trips in 2024 to 29,024 during the same period in 2025. This loss of nearly 5,000 users was debated during the February city council meeting, where officials pledged to investigate the reasons for the sustained decline.

"We have to finish talking with the company to see what might have caused this drop."

Opposition spokesperson Ramon Caballé linked the decrease to schedule and frequency changes implemented during the first quarter of 2025. Although these changes were formalized in March to accommodate a new electric vehicle, the opposition is calling for better information at bus stops and via mobile apps.
Currently, Bus Berga operates three lines (L-1, L-2, and L-3) connecting the city center with Avià and Casampons. Despite this year's drop, the council noted that current figures remain the second-highest since official record-keeping began in 2015.
