The event was officially unveiled this Thursday at the Queralt sanctuary. The calendar consists of four dates between spring and autumn. The competition starts this Sunday, March 22, with the climb from Berga to Queralt. The second race will be on May 17 between Gironella and La Guàrdia, followed by the Vilada to Castell de l'Areny ascent on August 16. The finale will take place on October 4 with the 30th edition of the classic La Pobla de Lillet to Falgars race.
“"These are four races that, without doing it on purpose, are almost sisters."
All races share similar characteristics, with distances between 6 and 7 kilometers and elevation gains ranging from 400 to 500 meters. The organization has established a scoring system for a general classification that will reward the most consistent cyclists at the end of the season in October.
The initiative is supported by the Berguedà County Council and local municipalities. Ramon Caballé, County Sports Councilor, emphasized that this project fits into the regional cycling strategy. Local councilors from Berga and Gironella also highlighted the logistical cooperation to enhance these unique events.
