The Regional Association of Entrepreneurs of Berguedà (ACEB) is organizing a conference on Thursday, February 5, in Cal Rosal to demystify and facilitate the incorporation of Artificial Intelligence into local small and medium-sized enterprises.

The event, titled «Impuls IA Berguedà: artificial intelligence within reach of your company», will take place at the Espai Curriu de Cal Rosal. The meeting, open to the entire Central Catalonia region, will feature a keynote speech by the Columbia University Economics Professor, Xavier Sala i Martín.
The main goal of the ACEB is to connect the global AI revolution with the economic reality of Berguedà, focusing on SMEs. The initiative aims to provide practical tools for companies, professionals, and entrepreneurs to apply this technology daily, helping to reduce the digital divide.
The program will kick off with a panel discussion on best practices and real-world AI applications, moderated by Regió7 Director, Josep Lluís Micó. Participants include former Minister of Economy Natàlia Mas, UManresa Dean of Social Sciences, Marc Bernadich, and computer engineer Josep Maria Ganyet.

The conference aims to project Berguedà as a dynamic, innovative, and attractive region for talent and investment.

Following Sala i Martín's presentation, titled «AI, an unstoppable revolution: myths and opportunities», and a networking lunch, the day will continue with a practical session featuring demonstrations of process automation and data usage for improved decision-making. Registration, with limited capacity, costs 30 euros.
