The Gironella Town Council officially opened its new pump track circuit this Sunday, providing a new space for cyclists and skaters in the Berguedà region.

The opening event featured skill workshops for children aged 3 to 14 and a professional rider exhibition. Located in the municipal sports area, this facility is the third pump track in the region and was built following a request from the local Children's Council.
The project cost a total of 102,608 euros, with the Barcelona Provincial Council contributing 90,000 euros (nearly 88% of the total). Mayor David Font and Sports Councilor Miquel Serra attended the ceremony, highlighting that the track offers two different difficulty levels for all users.

"I believe it is a new sporting trend that will attract many people."
