The Mossos d'Esquadra have reported a 39-year-old man for causing a forest fire in Sagàs on Thursday evening. The fire started when he attempted to burn grass without the necessary permit or safety precautions.

A 39-year-old man has been reported by the Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan Police) for his alleged involvement in a forest fire that broke out in Sagàs. According to police sources, the incident occurred when the individual attempted to burn grass in front of his home.
Police emphasized that the man did not have the required authorization for this activity nor did he implement the necessary safety precautions, which led to the flames getting out of control.
As a consequence of these actions, the individual will be investigated for a crime of forest fire due to gross negligence. The alert to emergency services was received on Thursday evening, specifically at 9:42 PM.
Three units from the fire stations of Berga, Gironella, and Prats de Lluçanès, along with a unit from the Mossos d'Esquadra, quickly responded to the scene. The flames were extinguished promptly and, fortunately, did not reach the nearby house.
