The move follows a meeting between local leader David Carmona and the Cal Rosal Residents' Association. Neighbors reported concerns regarding structural integrity and potential leaks in the facility's tanks, which could pose a public safety risk.
As a Cultural Asset of Local Interest (BCIL), the site is subject to strict conservation laws. The PP is demanding that municipal technicians assess the building and formally require the owners to fulfill their legal maintenance duties.
“"Heritage cannot be left abandoned, especially if there is a possible risk. Cal Rosal deserves safety and institutional responsibility."
