The incident occurred around 12 PM, leading to traffic jams in both directions for over two kilometers. The two occupants of the car were able to exit on their own and were unharmed, despite the fire starting while the vehicle was in motion.
Two units from the Generalitat Fire Department were dispatched to the scene. The fire, which primarily affected the front of the car, has now been extinguished. Firefighters reported that it did not spread to the nearby forest or the railway catenary close to the vehicle.
