Located next to the local football pitch, the project's first phase cost 414,000 euros. It features a regulation track, a 500-meter warm-up circuit, and a central sports area, funded with support from the Barcelona Provincial Council.
“"Talent is not only born in big cities, and a zip code should not determine anyone's sporting ceiling."
The local club CquiE Trail organized the opening event, inviting residents to test the new surface. While the track is already functional for public use, the Mayor Eva Serra confirmed that future improvements will include lighting, shaded areas, and a health park.
Regional authorities emphasized that the facility is intended to serve the entire Berguedà area, providing a professional training ground for local athletes and clubs who previously lacked a regulation track.
