The Els Roures restaurant, located in Castellar del Riu (Berguedà), had to cancel most lunch reservations on Saturday due to heavy snowfall that complicated access to Rasos de Peguera.

The owner of the establishment, Remei Escolies, explained that up to 22 centimeters of snow fell in a short time, making circulation impossible past the Fontfreda campsite. This forced them to contact customers and ask them not to travel to the area.

"Out of the 150 lunches we planned to serve this Saturday, we only ended up making 22."

The situation became even more complicated on Sunday due to the frost, which made parking access difficult. Staff worked from early morning to ensure the safety of customers who had lunch reservations, as they expected to serve around 140 meals.
The Mossos d'Esquadra warned that chains or winter tires are mandatory on the road connecting Berga with Rasos de Peguera. Approximately one meter of snow has accumulated in the area near the chalet-refuge from recent snowfalls.
