The Farmers' Revolt maintains the four-day blockade of the C-16 highway while awaiting an assembly this afternoon to evaluate new dialogue proposals sent by the Department of Agriculture.

The mobilization by the Farmers' Revolt continues after four days and three nights of blockades on the C-16, one of the main routes connecting the Pyrenees with the city of Barcelona. Despite the impact on traffic at the entrance to Cerdanya, spokespersons confirmed a glimmer of hope for dialogue with the Generalitat.

"They have told us that there have been some advances and that new proposals have arrived from the Generalitat that we want to debate this afternoon."

One of the key points of the mobilization remains the protection of Catalan agricultural products. Protesters demand a clear differentiation between local products and those originating from other countries, especially those affected by the agreement with Mercosur.

"We want clear labeling to know what we are consuming, what quality these products are, and what conditions they meet."

Spokespersons highlighted that negotiations at the Catalan level with the Minister of Agriculture have been positive, although they acknowledge that they have not achieved the same result in the rest of Spain regarding the Mercosur agreement. The decision on the next steps will be taken at the assembly scheduled for this afternoon.
