The first phase of the project, executed during 2025, involved placing over 800 solar modules with an investment of 618,000 euros. This installation was carried out in buildings such as the City Council, the Olvan swimming pool, the sports track changing rooms, the Cal Rosal water deposit, and the Rocarrodona-Olvan Industrial Park Service Center, supported by the Diputació de Barcelona.
The execution of a second phase is planned for the first half of 2026, with a budget of 457,575.55 euros. This new stage will include the installation of photovoltaic panels at the Cal Rosal Social Center, the Ateneu Olvanès, and the Cal Rosal swimming pools.
“"compensate the surplus with the consumption of the industrial park companies or individuals, and create the embryo of an energy community."
In total, the municipal investment in green energy exceeds one million euros. The local government argues that this action is essential for advancing towards an effective energy transition, through responsible resource management and a firm commitment to renewable energy.
