A rear-end collision involving two cars inside the Cadí Tunnel caused traffic delays in both directions and marked the first service for the new professional firefighters from the Puigcerdà station.

The incident, which occurred at kilometer 140.1 of the C-16, within the municipality of Guardiola de Berguedà, was reported at 8:10 PM. Initial reports indicated that the occupants were out of their vehicles, suggesting the collision was not severe.
Following standard safety protocols for such incidents, access to the tunnel was temporarily closed, leading to significant traffic queues. The Bombers de la Generalitat (Catalan Firefighters) dispatched three units to the scene.
One of the dispatched units was from the Puigcerdà station, making this their official debut. This service took place shortly after the new professional firefighters took over from the Puigcerdà Volunteer Firefighters Association, which had served the area for the past 165 years, as reported by Regió7.
