The Associació Cerdanya Musical has officially communicated the impossibility of carrying out the performance of the musical «&Juliet», which was scheduled for this summer. The decision comes after receiving a notice stating that the play currently has "restricted amateur performance rights throughout Europe" and that the MTI company is not granting licenses to any European amateur company at this time.

The amateur company, based in Puigcerdà, had already accumulated nine months of work and intensive rehearsals for what would have been its premiere in just over a month. The group has expressed the difficulty of the situation, highlighting the significant investment of time, enthusiasm, and effort made.

Despite this setback, the association has decided to transform the situation into a new opportunity. To celebrate its 15th anniversary, Cerdanya Musical is preparing a new original show created exclusively for the occasion, thus ensuring the continuation of its cultural dissemination work through music.
