A businessman from Cerdanya testified this Wednesday that Jordi Pujol Ferrusola deceived him regarding a 300,000 euro loan managed through Banca Reig.

The witness, a local restaurant owner, explained that in December 1995 he signed for a 50 million peseta credit. Prosecutors allege that while the bank appeared as the lender, the funds actually came from the Andorra account of the former Catalan president's eldest son.

"I was unaware that the money actually came from Pujol Ferrusola."

The trial also heard from other witnesses who denied knowledge of transfers from Andorra. Financial expert Carlos Javier Tusquets Trias de Bes also testified, distancing himself from a 4.4 million euro investment made by the defendant in the Virgin Islands.
