The Mossos d'Esquadra police force fined a driver in Puigcerdà this March after he attempted to bypass a toll on the C-16 highway in Bages by tailgating an undercover patrol car.

The incident occurred when the driver tried to slip through the toll barrier by staying extremely close to the vehicle in front. Unluckily for him, the car he struck was an unmarked Mossos d'Esquadra vehicle.
Following the collision, the driver tested positive for drugs. Although officers immobilized the vehicle, the man managed to break the lock and flee the scene.
Police eventually tracked him down in Puigcerdà, located in the Cerdanya region, where he was issued a second fine for his actions.
