Endesa has completed the renovation of an underground electrical network section on Puigcerdà's Carrer Major, increasing capacity to improve supply reliability.

Endesa has recently completed an improvement project on the medium-voltage electrical grid in Puigcerdà. The primary objective was to increase the energy transport capacity of the underground line running along Carrer Major.
This intervention aims to enhance the quality and reliability of the electricity supply in the municipality, as well as modernize the existing infrastructure. The work involved replacing a section of cabling with new, larger-section infrastructure (240 mm²), which will provide a more robust network prepared for current and future needs, including new energy uses associated with the electrification of the economy.
With the completion of these works, the street has returned to normal. In parallel, Endesa plans to renovate a transformation center located at the Puigcerdà school, which is connected to the same medium-voltage line that was worked on in Carrer Major.
