The blaze broke out in a property located on Avinguda del Segre, in a building with a ground floor plus three additional floors. The flames primarily consumed one of the rooms and a section of the false ceiling, though they did not spread to the building's roof.

Six units from the Bombers de la Generalitat (Catalan Fire Department) were dispatched to the scene to extinguish the fire. After controlling the flames, they proceeded to ventilate the dwelling to clear accumulated smoke.

Once the fire was out, emergency services conducted a preliminary assessment of the damage. According to initial reports, the occupants were unable to spend the night in the apartment and will need to await a technician's review to determine the full extent of the damage.
