The Secretary General of Junts, Jordi Turull, and the leader of Futur per Puigcerdà, Francesc Armengol, signed a cooperation agreement this Friday in Puigcerdà to run together in the 2027 local elections.

The event, held at the Hotel Park, confirmed Francesc Armengol as the joint candidate for mayor. While the leadership celebrated the 'unity' of the project, local Junts members expressed outrage, claiming the deal was made behind their backs and ignores the current city councillors.

"We are very happy and convinced of this agreement. What unites us is infinitely more than what divides us."

The new coalition will be managed by a joint committee meeting every two months. Despite the internal friction, both parties stated their commitment to providing stability to Puigcerdà and focusing on local public service.
