The Spanish Government expects to finish emergency resurfacing works on the N-260 highway between la Seu d'Urgell and Bellver de Cerdanya before the Easter holidays.

The 1.6 million euro project covers a 14-kilometer stretch that was severely damaged by ice and snow since December. The most affected areas are located between the municipalities of Pont de Bar and Montellà i Martinet.

"The N-260 is a key road for the country and the Pyrenees region as a main transversal connection."

The road handles an average of 6,000 vehicles daily, peaking at 8,500 in August. Additionally, authorities confirmed that construction on the Montferrer roundabout is scheduled to start immediately after the Easter break.
