A joint police operation in Puigcerdà has concluded with two arrests and 237 individuals identified, along with 21 reports for various offenses.

A police operation conducted this Friday around Plaça Santa Maria in Puigcerdà concluded with two arrests, 237 individuals identified, and 21 reports filed. One of the arrested individuals is linked to an immigration law violation, while the other is connected to a breach of a court order. Among those identified, there are 119 previous criminal records, with just three individuals accounting for 45 of them.
Officers also carried out checks in six local establishments, issuing several reports for violations related to public performances and recreational activities. Regarding mobility, an electric scooter was seized due to irregularities, four drivers were cited for administrative positive results in an alcohol test, and six traffic violation tickets were issued.
The reports filed include 9 for possession of narcotic substances, 7 for carrying bladed weapons, 1 for an airsoft gun, 1 for a non-approved spray, and 3 for disobedience and disrespect towards law enforcement officers. The operation was divided into an initial phase of checks at access points and central streets, followed by intensified patrolling in the nightlife area.
The operation involved the coordinated participation of the Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan Police), local police, the National Police, the Civil Guard, Labor Inspectorate, units from the ARRO (Riot Squad), Public Security, and the Investigation Unit and Regional Unit of Administrative Police (URPA). The primary objectives were to prevent crime, combat drug trafficking and the possession of prohibited weapons, address recidivism, and detect potential violations in the town's entertainment venues.
