Catalan Nordic ski resorts, such as Lles de Cerdanya, enthusiastically welcomed this weekend's snowfalls, ensuring excellent conditions for skiers and visitors.

The snow that fell this Saturday has allowed Catalan Nordic stations, which already had a good base, to open most of their circuits. The director of Lles de Cerdanya, Ramon Sellés, confirmed that the snow field is in “perfect conditions” with accumulations between 80 and 110 centimeters.
Sellés explained that the latest precipitation added between 30 centimeters at the base and 60 at the highest elevations. Due to the wind gusts on Saturday, the team had to groom the circuits twice overnight to ensure the domain was in optimal condition for both cross-country skiing and snowshoeing excursions.

"This is very good news, considering the role that the resorts play in generating economy for the hotels, shops, and restaurants in their area of influence."

Visitors celebrated the snow conditions. Josep Grau, a skier, found “fantastic powder snow for walking with snowshoes,” noting that they had not enjoyed similar conditions on these dates for seven years. Mònica Ferrés added that the state of the snow was “spectacular” and that “it was worth the wait.”
The rest of the Catalan Nordic stations are also operational. Aransa and Tuixent - La Vansa (in Alt Urgell) offer up to 30 kilometers of circuits. Sant Joan de l'Erm (Alt Urgell) has 20 km, Guils Fontanera (Cerdanya) 15 km, and Tavascan (Pallars Sobirà) 13 km.
