Writer Regina Rodríguez Sirvent presented her second novel, Crispetes de matinada, at the Casino Ceretà in Puigcerdà, drawing a large audience and confirming the anticipation generated by her previous success.

On Easter Saturday, the Casino Ceretà in Puigcerdà was the setting for the presentation of Crispetes de matinada, the new work by Regina Rodríguez Sirvent. The event saw a significant public turnout, filling the hall to accompany the author from Alp. Rodríguez Sirvent was joined by Puigcerdà City Council members, Mercè Carbó and Nerea Espada.
Following the impact of her first novel, Les calces al sol, which sold over 100,000 copies and remained on bestseller lists for three years, Regina Rodríguez Sirvent returns with a new offering now available in bookstores. The book has been published simultaneously in Catalan by La Campana and in Spanish, under the title Palomitas de madrugada, by Suma.

"It's one of my driving forces; if it doesn't make me laugh, I don't move forward, I can't detach myself from it."

Crispetes de matinada picks up the story of Rita Racons, eight years after her adventures in Atlanta. The protagonist settles in Barcelona with the dream of publishing a novel, facing precarious jobs and the feeling of not quite fitting in. The plot unfolds in a unique space in the Gràcia neighborhood, where Rita meets other characters also pursuing their dreams, and where she finds a new love.
The success of Les calces al sol, recognized with the 13th L'Illa dels Llibres Award in 2023, has transcended Catalan borders, with translations into five languages (Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, English, and Polish). Currently, a film adaptation of the work is under development, although the author has noted that the project has encountered difficulties in being produced in the United States and is now being managed from Catalonia.
