Minister Sílvia Paneque Sureda inaugurated this Friday the renovation of Niu de l'Àliga, the highest mountain refuge in the eastern Pyrenees, located at La Molina ski resort.

The project is part of a four million euro investment plan by FGC to modernize mountain facilities. The refuge, sitting at 2,537 meters within the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park, now features advanced thermal insulation and sustainable water management systems.

"We have created a renewed space with new values and a new multipurpose room to help the Cerdanya region gain competitiveness."

Carles Ruiz · President of FGC
Originally built in 1966, the facility now offers improved catering services and expanded accommodation. The event also featured the presentation of the book El Niu de l'Àliga. Un refugi amb ànima by historian Montse Bofill i Corominas.
