The Sant Jordi celebration saw a large public turnout in Puigcerdà and La Seu d'Urgell, where book and rose stalls filled the streets from early morning.
In Puigcerdà, Plaça Santa Maria and Passeig 10 d'Abril hosted about thirty stalls, while in La Seu d'Urgell, Passeig Joan Brudieu concentrated around forty exhibitors. Good weather accompanied the day, fostering public participation in this cultural event.
This year, local literary production played a prominent role, with numerous new releases covering historical themes, studies, and novels. Among the most requested works, Crispetes de matinada, by Cerdanya author Regina Rodríguez Sirvent, was mentioned as one of the most in-demand titles in Catalonia.

"We dared to tackle a topic that until a couple or three years ago was quite taboo, which is the Civil War in Cerdanya, because it was quite painful, and we have turned it into a novel."
Another book that has attracted attention is La Vall Furiosa, a novel set during the Civil War in Cerdanya, which, despite being fictional, is deeply documented. Several authors from the region signed copies, highlighting the growing interest in local literature.
“
"Many people ask for local author books, and it's another way to experience literature."
In La Seu d'Urgell, children's and youth literature has gained ground, with a clear focus on local works. The recent opening of a bookstore specializing in children's literature has expanded the range of titles for younger audiences. Roses, especially the classic red rose, were also a sales success, sharing the spotlight with books.
“
"We are starting to cover a space that until now had not been much covered by Pyrenean books, which is youth books."
The day was complemented by various cultural activities. The Comtat de Cerdanya Library organized the sale of books by the meter, while the Sant Agustí Library in La Seu d'Urgell hosted a micro-story contest for primary school students and a poetry reading.
