The municipality of Vimbodí i Poblet, located in the Conca de Barberà region, hosts the IX Black Truffle Fair on January 17 and 18, highlighting local gastronomy and the prized fungus.

The gastronomic event, now in its ninth edition, promotes seasonal produce with a program combining education, a fresh truffle market, and activities for all audiences. The market, featuring about twenty stalls, will be located inside the municipal pavilion, open throughout Saturday and until noon on Sunday.
One of the central features is the showcookings, with the participation of top-level chefs. Attendees include Arnau París, known for the Pim Pam segment on Cuines de 3Cat, and Rafel Múria, from the Quatre Molins restaurant, which holds a Michelin star. Both will demonstrate various applications of the black truffle in cooking.

"We are incorporating improvements."

The culinary offering is completed with guided tastings, including a pairing of artisan wines from the Rendé Masdeu winery with traditional cured meats from Ca la Cova, and truffle tapas tastings. The highly anticipated Truffle Dog Contest will take place on Sunday at noon, recognizing the joint effort of truffle hunters and their dogs. The top three contestants will qualify for the Catalonia Truffle Dog Championship, held in Vic on February 8, 2026.
