The musical group Metralla celebrated its twentieth anniversary this Friday in Reus by presenting the album Balla Bèstia! and the sheet music book Sol com un mussol.

Founded in 2004, the group has released Balla Bèstia!, a recording that blends the traditional 'gralla' with brass instruments. The album features twelve tracks ranging from street parades to concert formats, including pieces like Mexican Folk Medley and La Rumba de l'Empordanet. The ensemble includes musicians such as Daniel Carbonell and Manuel Sabaté.

"We have gone beyond the borders of Reus, especially towards towns near Barcelona. It is exciting that an initiative born in Reus travels across the country."

Additionally, Dani Carbonell introduced Sol com un mussol, a book containing eight advanced scores for soloists. Daniel Recasens, the Culture Councilor of Reus City Council, emphasized that this compilation adds significant professional value to traditional music heritage.
