The Night of Churches, organized by the Catalonia Sacra Network, illuminated sixteen Catalan churches last Friday, June 26, including the monastery of Poblet and the church of Santa Maria la Major in Montblanc.

The initiative proposes opening temples illuminated exclusively by candles to offer a different discovery experience. This year, the monastery of Poblet has joined the initiative, while the church of Santa Maria la Major in Montblanc has participated again.
In Montblanc, nearly 1,000 candles lit the Santa Maria temple, which was visited by up to 350 people, an increase of 100 visitors compared to last year.
Regarding the monastery of Poblet, candlelight transformed the Sant Jordi chapel, a space not usually open to the public, allowing visitors to discover it in a new light.
