The regional councils of Conca de Barberà, Alt Camp, and Urgell launched four new service stations for cycle tourists this February along the historic Cistercian Route.

Funded by Next Generation EU funds, the 375,000 euro project aims to boost sustainable tourism on the GR175 trail. The stations are located at the Poblet, Santes Creus, and Vallbona de les Monges monasteries, as well as in Montblanc.

"Electric bikes make the distances shorter and the territory more accessible for everyone."

Joan Canela · President of the Conca de Barberà Regional Council
Each area features ten charging ports and a repair kit. The facilities are powered by solar panels, ensuring a 100% green energy supply for cyclists exploring the rural landscape.
