A man died this Tuesday morning in a traffic accident at kilometer 26.1 of the C-14 highway, located between the towns of Montblanc and Alcover.

The emergency services were alerted at 07:29 AM following a head-on collision involving a van, a truck, and a passenger car. The driver of the van, who was traveling alone, died at the scene due to the severity of the crash.
Two other drivers sustained minor injuries and were taken to the Pius Hospital in Valls. The response included six Mossos d'Esquadra patrols, four Fire Brigade units, and a medical helicopter from the SEM.
The C-14 road was closed in both directions, with traffic diverted through the T-742. This incident brings the total number of road fatalities in Catalonia to 19 so far in 2026, according to the Catalan Transit Service.
