Railway traffic on the R14 line has been suspended this Monday between Reus and Vinaixa due to a fire at the Montblanc transformer station, prompting the activation of the FERROCAT plan pre-alert.

The R14 line experienced a suspension of railway traffic between the towns of Reus and Vinaixa starting this Monday. The cause was a fire declared at the Montblanc transformer station, a critical infrastructure for the network's operation.
As a result of the incident, Civil Protection has activated the FERROCAT plan's pre-alert status. The objective is to coordinate extinction and damage assessment tasks while the preventive traffic cut remains in place.

The Generalitat Firefighters received the alert at 05:26 AM and initially dispatched four units. According to the latest updates, the fire is stable, and two units remain on-site for surveillance and monitoring.
Currently, the causes of the fire are unknown, and no injuries have been reported. Emergency teams continue to work to ensure safety and restore railway service as soon as possible. Passengers are advised to check the line status before traveling.
