The association La Bressola from Northern Catalonia has been awarded the Baldiri Reixac Award for Transformative School by the Fundació Carulla for its long-standing commitment to promoting Catalan.

The Northern Catalan entity has been distinguished for its over fifty-year trajectory in promoting the Catalan language and culture through a comprehensive linguistic immersion model, highlighting its work "in a particularly complex sociolinguistic context." This marks the 48th edition of the Baldiri Reixac awards, which recognize innovative educational projects.
A total of 28 centers have been recognized this year for their ability to transform and improve society through culture, arts, and language. The award ceremony, totaling 44,000 euros, took place this Sunday at the Museu Terra in l'Espluga de Francolí.

"We believe in the power of culture and education to generate opportunities, strengthen communities, and transform perspectives. With the Baldiri Awards, we aim to recognize projects that, through creativity and commitment, drive real change and help build a more just, critical, and participatory society."
