The main event featured the opening of the exhibition Our Grandmothers, Our Roots, a photographic series by Montse Vernet. The collection aims to highlight the resilience and experience of the town's older women, recognizing them as vital witnesses to collective history and cultural identity.
Following the exhibition, the Formació Permanent organization read the institutional manifesto for March 8th. The speech reaffirmed the region's dedication to gender equality and the ongoing protection of women's rights.
The commemoration concluded with a musical vermouth session hosted by DJ Perla Negra, providing a festive community gathering space for residents of l'Espluga de Francolí.
