Several residents of Lilla attended the municipal plenary session to express their dissatisfaction with the state of the hamlet and the lack of investment and maintenance. The local representative detailed numerous deficiencies, some under municipal jurisdiction and others under higher administrations, such as those related to roads.
“"The feeling we have is that the hamlets are abandoned and that we should be better cared for."
The demands were structured around three main axes. Firstly, the implementation of a specific plan for hamlets was requested to enable significant investments, as without these, important actions such as street repairs or infrastructure improvements cannot be carried out.
A dedicated budget allocation for minor improvements, which should exceed 15,000 euros annually, and more agile and effective maintenance were also requested. The need for greater speed in preventive and corrective maintenance was emphasized.
“"What people really want are actions, not just explanations."
For his part, the councilor for hamlets assured that the council is working to address the needs of the community. He acknowledged that, despite efforts, the available economic resources are limited.
“"From the City Council, we are responding to the demands of the five hamlets. The economic resources we can allocate are limited."
The councilor explained that a specific plan for hamlets is being promoted with supramunicipal support to secure more funding, highlighting a significant structural imbalance that needs to be made visible for more resources to arrive.
