The Logis Montblanc logistics hub, strategically located in Conca de Barberà, is advancing with an investment exceeding €200 million, with the first phase slated for completion by 2026.

Logis Montblanc is solidifying its position as a key logistics hub in Catalonia, promising significant economic impact, skilled job creation, and energy sustainability. The Minister of Territory, Paneque, highlighted its strategic location for "communications in Catalonia", offering direct access to the AP-2 motorway and vital connections to Tarragona, Lleida, and Barcelona.
According to the minister, facilitating business establishment, reducing costs, attracting investment, and generating employment are achievable through "adequate management of connectivity flows". The project includes an 8-hectare reservation for a future rail terminal designed to meet European standards and promote the decarbonization of freight transport.
The mayor of Montblanc, Marc Vinya, emphasized the project's journey, thanking all contributors for making it a reality. He confirmed that Bon Preu, the first company to commit, will commence construction this August, with administrative processes for the installation license nearing completion.
Carolina Guerrero, a technician from Cimalsa, detailed that Logis Montblanc spans 90 hectares, with Phase 1 covering 310,000 m² already partially completed and Phase 2 pending. She also highlighted the planned 20 MW agrovoltaic solar plant, aimed at achieving a neutral energy balance and attracting sustainability-focused companies.
Minister Paneque stated that Phase 1B construction will be completed this year, 2026, and anticipates a rise in business interest starting this autumn-winter.
Logis Montblanc is envisioned as a model logistics space to be replicated throughout Catalonia's interior regions, fostering opportunities and population retention. Additionally, the C-14 road project between Montblanc and Solivella is included in the current budget deliberations.
With a combined public and private investment exceeding €200 million, the initiative aims to establish Montblanc as a benchmark for industrial and economic development, integrating logistics, quality employment, and environmental sustainability.
