The municipality of Montblanc, in Conca de Barberà, has announced special measures to adapt traffic flow at the N-240 roundabout during Easter Week, aiming to manage the anticipated increase in traffic and prevent congestion.

Between Sunday afternoon and Monday morning, traffic movements at this key point will be modified to prioritize vehicles heading towards the AP-2 and C-14. These are two of the main arteries connecting the region with the rest of Catalonia, and the initiative is part of the general plan promoted by the Servei Català de Trànsit to handle what is expected to be particularly high mobility.
Specifically, cones will be installed at the roundabout to redirect vehicles traveling towards Adrall. These vehicles will be required to make a U-turn further ahead, at the intersection with the TV-2421 road, in the direction of Prenafeta. This action seeks to decongest the roundabout and facilitate traffic flow towards the main highways, especially during peak hours.

The overall objective is to reduce congestion and improve road safety, especially on roads that pass through urban centers or areas with high traffic intensity.

In addition to the specific interventions in Montblanc, the general traffic plan for Easter Week includes other actions across the country. These include the creation of additional lanes, restrictions for heavy vehicles, and punctual adjustments at various intersections to minimize delays. Concurrently, road surveillance will be reinforced with an extensive police deployment and specific controls, to ensure safe circulation during one of the busiest travel periods of the year.
