The Comarcal Museum of Conca de Barberà in Montblanc hosted the presentation of the book La petjada de Sant Jordi. El retorn al mite by Leo Beltran, a work that reinterprets the traditional legend.

The event, organized by the Associació Medieval de la Llegenda de Sant Jordi, took place last Saturday, March 28. During the presentation, author Leo Beltran conversed with Marta Amigó, editor of La Musca, and with Joaquim Queralt, head of the Montblanc Tourism Office, revealing the details of his collection of ten stories.
The book offers a new perspective on the myth of Saint George and the dragon, blending elements of philosophy, epic, humor, and science fiction. The stories explore both the internal conflicts of the characters and social transformations, allowing readers to identify the archetypes of the princess, Saint George, and the dragon in each narrative.

The book reinterprets the myth of Saint George and the dragon, incorporating philosophy, epic, humor, and science fiction, with stories that alternate internal struggles and social transformations.

Published by La Musca de l'Espluga de Francolí, the volume is under two hundred pages and priced at 17 euros. This edition was produced in collaboration with the Montblanc City Council and the Associació Medieval, aiming for the work to be available just before Saint George's Day and Medieval Week, making it an ideal gift option.
