This year's edition, organized by the local giant-carriers group, marks a turning point after a period of inactivity. The main goal is to transform the celebration into a community project where the town's heritage, featuring 19 figures including giants and 'big-heads', takes center stage.
In the weeks leading up to the event, educational activities were held in schools to coincide with International Women's Day. Children interacted with the town's female giants, learning their history and how to carry them, reinforcing values such as teamwork and respect for local traditions.
The April 19th program will include storytelling of Knight Narcís, an exhibition of over a hundred rubber figures, and workshops to create masks from recycled materials. The highlight will be a children's parade open to anyone bringing their own festive figures.
