The Conca de Barberà region concluded 2025 with 309 workplace accidents resulting in medical leave, a figure nearly identical to the previous year despite a sharp increase in serious injuries.

While the total number of incidents decreased by a marginal 0.32% compared to 2024, serious accidents rose from 2 to 6 cases. July was the month with the highest incidence, recording 46 minor accidents, likely linked to seasonal production peaks and high summer temperatures.
The industrial sector remains the most affected area, accounting for 164 leaves, which represents over 50% of the regional total. Meanwhile, the construction sector saw a 26.67% increase in accidents, whereas agriculture showed the most significant improvement with a 38.46% reduction in cases.
Notably, the region has maintained a zero-fatality record for the second consecutive year, with no workplace deaths reported since 2023, highlighting a positive trend in life safety protocols.
