The solidarity event #Tombalaconca, organized by Travesses Solidàries and the Club Excursionista Montblanc, successfully collected 288 kilograms of food and nearly 2,000 euros for Cáritas de la Conca de Barberà.

Despite adverse weather conditions, the spirit of solidarity in Conca de Barberà remained strong during the latest edition of #TombaLaConca26 on May 9. The event, held at the Club Tennis Montblanc facilities, blended sports activities, cultural expressions, and a strong social commitment, attracting significant participation.
From early morning, over 150 participants of all ages joined the various sports proposals. The day began with an endurance walking challenge, including continuous ascents to the Sant Joan hermitage, and continued with mountain biking and road cycling routes.
By midday, the Club Tennis Montblanc transformed into the heart of the celebration, where popular culture played a prominent role with performances by the Cucafera and the Ball de Gitanes i Gitanos. These performances preceded a musical vermouth enlivened by Dj Sigró, creating a festive and engaging atmosphere.
Afternoon rain forced the cancellation of scheduled tennis Americanas, but it did not deter many from continuing the sports challenge in the rain. Due to the unstable weather, the Solidarity Dinner was moved indoors to the Casal Montblanquí, where nearly a hundred people concluded the day.
The provisional balance of the event is very positive, with the collection of nearly 2,000 euros and 288 kilograms of food products. These resources will be allocated to Cáritas de la Conca de Barberà to support individuals and families in vulnerable situations.
