The town of l'Espluga de Francolí launched the seventh edition of the El Vi fa Sang festival this Friday, establishing itself as a key event for Catalan crime literature.

Organized by the Casal de l'Espluga de Francolí, the opening day featured a panel discussion on the rise of young adult crime fiction. The festival headquarters will host over twenty activities, including book launches and professional debates throughout the weekend.
A distinctive feature of the event is the pairing of literature with DO Conca de Barberà wines, particularly the local trepat variety. This initiative aims to connect the literary world with the region's agricultural heritage.
The schedule continues on Saturday with the Black Evening awards ceremony and concludes on Sunday with a historical crime tour through the streets of the village.
