The Sant Joan de Lilla Choir, under the direction of its founder Josep Magrinya, has begun a renewal process with the incorporation of new singers, strengthening its cultural presence in the Conca de Barberà.

The musical group from Lilla, an aggregated nucleus of Montblanc, has been working since the beginning of the year to revitalize its repertoire and vocal structure. This initiative seeks to ensure the continuity and artistic excellence of the choir, which is a cultural benchmark in the area.
The new additions, who have passed voice and tuning tests, include talents from various towns in the region. Among them are a soprano from Vilaverd, Helena; a countertenor from l'Espluga de Francolí, Víctor; and an alto from Montblanc, Irina. Additionally, three basses have joined: Joaquim and Quico from Montblanc, and Jordi from Lilla. The list of signings remains open, indicating a strong commitment to expanding the choir.
This renewal comes at a time when the local community particularly values traditions and culture. The effort dedicated to the recreational art of choral music is an example of cultural persistence that enriches the social life of the Conca de Barberà.

Three cheers for the persistence of the culture of effort, applied to the recreational art of music and choirs.
