The Castellers de Vilafranca marked a significant achievement on Saturday with one of their best performances in Sitges, completing a total of nine 'gamma extra' towers, including the season's first pillar of 8 with folre and manilles (pd8fm) in the town.

The Vilafranca-based 'colla', led by Àngel Grau, opened the square with a solid 3 of 9 with folre (3d9f). They then proceeded to successfully complete three 'gamma extra' towers, adding to those they had already achieved the previous week in Altafulla.
In the second round, they completed the 5 of 9 with folre (5d9f), a tower they have mastered this season. Subsequently, they erected the tower of 9 with folre and manilles (td9fm) and the first pillar of 8 with folre and manilles (pd8fm) seen in Sitges. This latter was the 101st such achievement in the 'colla's' history.
Regarding pillars, in addition to the pd8fm, the Castellers de Vilafranca have completed 12 pillars of 7 with folre (pd7f), one of which was loaded, and one pillar of 6 (pd6) in Sitges.
With Saturday's three 'gamma extra' towers, the 'colla' has now achieved six such constructions in Sitges (the 'Blanca Subur'). In total, they have erected five towers of 9 with folre and manilles (td9fm), two 5 of 9 with folre (5d9f), one 4 of 9 with folre and pedestal (4d9fa), and the aforementioned pd8fm in the Garraf region. No other 'colla' has managed to build a 'gamma extra' tower in this location.
