A mobile unit of the National Police will visit Sitges on October 19th to provide the service for issuing National Identity Documents (physical DNI) and passports. The van will be located from 9 AM to 1 PM at Can Milà (av. Camí dels Capellans, 108) to assist individuals who have booked an appointment through the Citizen Attention Office. There are 40 available slots. A key advantage of this service is that users can receive their documents on the same day of processing.
This initiative, driven by the Citizen Attention department, aims to simplify administrative procedures for residents and enhance local service provision.
To process or renew an ID card or passport, the usual documentation will be required. For the ID card, a recent color photograph, the previous ID card (for renewals), and a certificate of registration if there has been a change of address (issued within the last three months) are needed. For first-time issuance, a literal birth certificate from the Civil Registry (issued within the last six months) is also necessary. For passports, a valid ID card, a recent color photograph, and the previous passport (for renewals) must be presented. The established fee is 12 euros for the ID card and 30 euros for the passport, payable in cash (with potential exemptions for large families).
Appointments can be booked online via citaprevia.ubintia.com/sitges, selecting the 'Oficina mòbil DNI (VIDOC)' option. Appointments can also be made in person at the Citizen Attention Office or by phone by calling 010 (from Sitges) or 93 811 48 04 (from outside the municipality).
